Adding a credit card to your account allows you to manage your payment methods conveniently. This article will guide you through the steps to add a credit card to your account on both desktop and mobile devices.

Prerequisites

Before proceeding with the one-time payment, ensure you have the necessary permissions or access rights which allows you to perform billing-related actions.

Desktop Instructions

  1. Access Billing Settings: To add a credit card on the desktop, follow these steps:

    • Log in to your account.
    • Navigate to the billing section, usually found in the top navigation menu or at the top right where your name is displayed.
    • Under the billing dropdown, select "Add/Update Card."
  2. Authentication: Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security measure to protect your account. You will need to authenticate your identity using the email and the users-set method, generally authenticator.

  3. Complete Credit Card Form: Fill out the credit card form with the required information.

  4. Submit Form: After completing the form, click the "Submit" button.

  5. Success or Error Handling:

    • If the information is correct and the card is accepted, you will be redirected back to the homepage with the newly added credit card in your account.
    • If there are errors, such as a declined card, you will receive an error message prompting you to review and correct the information.
  6. Set Default Payment Option (If Applicable): If you have more than one credit card on file, you will have the option to set the card being added at the time as the default payment option. This is the card that will be charged for your payments by default.

Please note that adding the first card on file will automatically set it as the default payment option.

Mobile Instructions

  1. Access Billing Settings: To add a credit card on a mobile device, follow these steps:

    • Open the application on your mobile device.
    • Access the dropdown menu at the top-right corner, usually represented by your name and a down arrow.
    • Select "Add/Update Card" from the menu.
  2. Authentication: Just like on the desktop, Two-factor authentication (2FA) will be required, and you will need to authenticate your identity using the email and the users-set method, generally authenticator.

  3. Complete Credit Card Form: Fill out the credit card form with the necessary details.

  4. Submit Form: After completing the form, tap the "Submit" button.

  5. Success or Error Handling:

    • If the card information is valid, you will be redirected back to the homepage with the newly added credit card in your account.
    • In case of errors, such as a declined card, you will receive an error message guiding you to resolve the issue.
  6. Set Default Payment Option (If Applicable): If you have multiple credit cards on file, you will have the option to set one of them as the default payment method, just as on the desktop.

Please remember that adding the first card on file will automatically designate it as the default payment option, making it easier for you to manage your payments.
